The Midlands Development Football League exists to provide organised, competitive and enjoyable football for development and recreational adult teams. Whether you're returning to the game after years away, easing back into fitness, or just want a proper 11-a-side league that doesn't take itself too seriously — MDFL is built for you, not around you.
Six clubs, one division, home and away over a full season. Real fixtures, a real table, real stats — every club expected to play in the spirit of fair competition and respect.
Respect for opponents, team mates, officials and league representatives is mandatory, not optional. MDFL operates a zero-tolerance policy on racism, discrimination, violence, threatening behaviour and intimidation — full stop.
"Development" doesn't mean lesser. Matchday squads of up to 18, full home and away fixtures, league points and tiebreaks exactly as you'd expect, top scorer and Man of the Match tables tracked all season. The football is real — it's just played by people who remember why they started.
Competitive football. Respect. Transparency. Community.
